Luton… Power management company Eaton has launched a range of modular equipment that enables quick installation,
commissioning and replacement, providing a higher level of surge protection. Eaton”s new MTL SD Modular modular series
provides comprehensive protection against transient surges of up to 20 kA, a level of protection that is second to none among current
modular pluggable devices. At the same time, the packaging density of this series is also outstanding, ranking first in the market. In view of
the fact that more than 50% of premature aging of electronic equipment is caused by surges and maintenance failures, Eaton”s MTL SD Modular
modular series provides a cost-effective and complete surge protection solution for valuable instruments and distributed control systems.

MTL SD Modular modular equipment is specially designed to allow easy and fast module replacement, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
Pluggable components are secured with simple retention tabs and can be removed from the base without powering down the protected device, saving
the user valuable time and reducing complexity. This is achieved through an innovative Make Before Break design, which ensures uninterrupted loop operation
during replacement. In addition, the compact surge module increases the packaging density, saving space while achieving cost savings and reducing the number of cabinets required.
The series offers a choice of diagnostic LEDs for clear, visual indication of failed modules so engineers can immediately identify modules that need replacement. In
addition, the series also offers portable surge testing equipment, allowing users to easily check the health of each module during routine maintenance.
This new modular series inherits the proven, highly reliable features of the MTL SD Series, providing higher system availability for a wide range of industries including
oil and gas, chemicals, power and water/wastewater. Available in multiple versions capable of handling a variety of process signal types, the series is ideal for panel
