230E full authority speed control sets the speed or load of diesel or gas engines.
Features and functions
The 230E provides load sharing and speed control for generators driven by diesel or gas engines. With built-in flexible configuration software, it is now possible to use an external computer (PC) to select application changes. Changing the application to adapt to the engine speed range, gear teeth, and selection of forward or reverse motion is only a matter of software settings.
Due to its identical footprint and installation configuration, it is backwards compatible with existing 2301D products. The new controller ensures the continuous availability of a validated universal product and has the following enhanced features:
-RS-232 and RS-422 serial ports, both equipped with 9-pin connectors
Additional LED status for power and RS-422 communication
-Fault data recording capability, collecting data for 16 seconds every 10 milliseconds to detect downtime, peak speed, and load
-Low current voltage wave M output driving Woodward L-series, F-series, P-series, and PISC drivers
-The new terminal block can accommodate additional I/O, and most of the terminal locations are the same as the 2301D model.

The 230A load sharing and speed control with temperature or process limitations are ideal for load sharing in generator systems. High pressure (90-150VDC) 230A is used for diesel or gas engines, or steam or gas turbines, and is compatible with all Woodward electronic controls.
